Leora is tucked away on the ground floor of UTA in Beverly Hills. My first visit took me a good ten minutes just figuring out where to go, but the moment you’re greeted by the hostess and see the bustling patio, you know something special is happening.
It reminded me of Urth Caffe a decade ago, and I say that with full confidence about this BLD concept. The coffee and pastries are executed beautifully, and the daily rotating lunch specials make any visit feel like a special occasion. For those in the know, order the hummus, tuna melt, chopped cheese, and tater tots.
Takeout orders have hit a record high, and the spot has already drawn celebrity sightings, including Rich Paul, LeBron James, and Jordan Okun. Make a reservation in advance because it gets busy. Chef Leor Klein of Tel Aviv is a machine. This one really broke out this year, and I will definitely be back, likely at one of its future multi-unit locations across SoCal.
