You hear “hidden gem” tossed around a lot, but this one earns it. What chef Janet and her family have built is exactly what makes LA one of, if not the, best street food cities in the world. Hopefully they’ll reopen on Pico soon, but in the meantime follow them on Instagram for pop-up updates. The birria tacos and consommé are among the best in the city. I’ve been eating them for almost seven years and no one else even comes close. They also serve incredible fish and shrimp tacos, ceviche, and if you’re lucky, sushi hand rolls. Chef Janet started as a dishwasher at Nobu, and now she and her team gift Angelenos some of the most memorable food the city has to offer.
